Naz to host community recycling event
On Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Nazareth’s very own campus will play host to a “monster” recycling event. Sponsored by the Nazareth Academy Green Committee, the event will include other organizations from around the Village of Lagrange Park including Soles for Souls, The Lions Club, The Glass Slipper Project, Nazareth Senior Board, and the American Association of University Women. Other student organizations, such as the National Honor Society, are also encouraged to participate and devote their time to help organize and bring in additional recyclable items.
There is a list of recycling materials posted on the Nazareth Academy website for people to start collecting now. Items include approved electronics, shoes, household items, formal wear, clothing, printer and toner cartridges, etc. A complete list of acceptable items and contact information is featured on the event flyer, which can be downloaded here.
This event is a great way to give back to the community and clean up the environment. It’s also a great opportunity if someone is looking for service hours for confirmation or church group and a fun way to get involved with Nazareth!
