Peyton Manning announces retirement
April 13, 2016
After playing quarterback for the Denver Broncos in the NFL for 18 seasons, Peyton
Manning finally retired. He said, “There’s just something about 18 years; 18 is a good number, and today, I retire from pro football.” When the annual Super Bowl 50 had finished, Manning’s retirement was announced online on March 7th of this year. He had won two Super Bowls before.
Manning had started playing for the Broncos in 2012. Before that, he played for the Indianapolis Colts, from 1998-2011.
During his football career, Manning has received many recognitions, records, and awards, including winning all three of the “Manning Bowls.” His brother, Eli Manning, also plays football on the team New York Giants. There were three times when they competed against each other, and Payton won all three of them. He won twice when he was on the Colts, and he won once when he played for the Broncos. The years they competed each other were on 2006, 2010, and 2013.
We remember Peyton Manning as a legendary football quarterback and are inspired by his passion and skills for football.
