This season, the girls golf team won 7 out of 10 matches. For the first time since 2015, the team will compete in the IHSA State Championship on October 7 and 8 at Red Tail Run in Decatur, Illinois.

Students, faculty, staff and the marching band gathered to cheer on the team in a traditional “clap-out” on Thursday afternoon as the team prepared to leave for Decatur.

Coach Nicole Jeray has led the team in wins against Providence Catholic, Marist, Riverside Brookfield, St. Ignatius, Montini Catholic, St. Laurence, and Fenwick. 

Competing at state this weekend are seniors Megan Kornafel and Caroline Kelly, juniors Kacey Hughes and Gianina Montoro and sophomores Anna Bukovac and Maryssa Zielinski.
