Mahatma Gandhi said, “I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people.”
As a descendent of Gandhi himself, Senior Esha Gandhi lives this message each and every day of her life here at Nazareth. She is a four year executive Class Board member, having served the positions of Treasurer and Secretary her freshman and sophomore years respectively and served as President her junior year. Esha is currently serving as Senior Board President. About her work, she states, “I am passionate about finding ways to enrich the lives of my classmates. I love working with people, and I have enjoyed helping the Class of 2013 have the best four years possible!”
Student government is not the only place where Esha has left her mark. Esha was voted Prom Princess last school year, and Homecoming Queen this year. These recognitions alone stand to demonstrate how much Esha is respected and loved by her peers. Senior Rachel Dimaranan adds, “When you look at Esha, what you see is what you get, and more: a beautiful person inside and out. She has a heart of gold and is one of the most trustworthy people I know.” Rachel is just one example of the many lives at Nazareth who have been positively affected by Esha Gandhi.
Outside of Nazareth, Esha is very active in her Temple community. She teaches Hindu Education to the youth at her place of worship and enjoys that the seniors are all learning about Hinduism through World Religions class. Esha has loved being accepted at Nazareth and glad she made the decision to attend back in 2009.
As a senior, Esha is currently in the midst of applying to college. She plans to major in Computer Engineering and hopes to one day start her own business.
