The modern student is extremely cognizant of what is going on in society. This is much attributed to the founding of clubs like Model UN, Just-Us and Student Council, all of which Nazareth proudly offers. So it is only fitting that the Nazareth Student Council held a Mock Election, in the spirit of the 2012 Presidential race. With a student body as diverse as Nazareth’s, Student Council figured it would be incredibly interesting to see which way we sway, right or left. It could easily go either way. Therefore, the question burning in everyone’s minds is; how will Naz vote?
Throughout the last few days, students have been provided information about both of the candidates over the morning announcements. The announcements ranged from information about their family to more elaborate info such as opinions on foreign policy and the current economy. Teachers have helped to explain all that is taken into account while voting, as well.
