Five Nazareth Seniors have been honored as National Merit Commended Students this year, joining 34,000 other students around the country who scored extremely high on the PSAT/NMSQT test last fall. This commendation recognizes the seniors as students with academic promise, and often times allows students to become candidates for special scholarships. 

Seniors Sophia Cho, Nicholas Rozmus, Connor Dempsey, Julia Olander, and Maria Murphy are all excited to be a part of this commendation.

When describing what helped them to do so well on the PSAT, Nicholas Rozmus emphasizes the importance of “getting a good night’s sleep and eating a good breakfast.” Sophia Cho says if she could give one piece of advice to juniors taking the test this year, it would be “Take your time and take each problem seriously.”

These students are looking forward to continuing their academic successes throughout the rest of senior year and beyond!
