10 Reactions You Have Watching a Presidential Debate:
By Marisa Barranco
As the country prepares for the 2016 Presidential Election, the American people want to be informed of the nominees and their campaigns. Debates held by CNN and FOX news, as well as other news stations, are great ways to learn about what the nominees stand for and what they want to accomplish as President. On the other hand, they tend to elicit a wide variety of responses from viewers of all political allegiances. In fact, you may relate to some of these feelings.
- You might feel a bit irritated as you see your least favorite nominee walk out onto the stage.
- On the other hand, the moment you see your favorite nominee walk out, it could make you so overcome with joy that you feel like a child again.
- As the debate goes on, you might hear some “facts” (that may or may not be true) from a nominee that make you doubtful of everything else they say.
- If you’re watching the debate with other people and someone says something you disagree with, you could momentarily consider ending your relationship with them.
- Even worse, if your viewing buddy asks a completely irrelevant question, you might just question your sanity.
- Even if you’re not that interested in the debate, you still can’t escape it during commercial breaks due to the abundance of never-ending campaign advertisements.
- Nonetheless, you can’t help but be amused as the nominees insult each other.
- But when you push the nominees’ childish insults aside and really listen to who you want to vote for, you feel downright inspired by them.
- What really hits home is when you agree with a nominee, and you know you can trust the evidence provided to you.
- Or you could completely disagree with something a nominee says and know what they’re saying is inaccurate.
No matter what reactions or emotions you might experience while watching a Presidential debate, there is no doubt that history is in the making.
